Cloud Google Pre-Sales Engineer
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMerkle is looking for an experienced Google Solution architect to be part of its Cloud practice.
You will be working on industry leading GOOGLE platform to design, develop, and implement next generation data modernization solutions leveraging Cloud native and Commercial/Open Source Big Data technologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Cloud Solution Architect - Google, you will have the following
Responsibilities:
The primary role will be to lead innovation efforts, developing Intellectual Property and delivering solutions associated with Google and Merkle toolsAssisting efforts on listing Merkle solutions on Google marketplaceLead the development of minimum viable products for Merkle & Google joint innovation solutionsAssist in advising clients on Google optimized architectures for enterprise data management, craft strategy and roadmaps for on-prem to Cloud migration initiativesBe hands-on in developing prototypes and conducting Proof of ConceptsConduct architectural reviews and develop cloud economic modelsAct as a trusted advisor to client on all things GoogleAssist pre-sales team in client pitchesParticipate in technical interactions with client's executives and senior managementMentor client/Merkle resources on Google and its servicesEvaluate and analyze new commercial/open-source services/technologies offered by Google, and other Big Data technology vendorsInterface with Google Solution Architects and Engineers on:
Development of reference architectures and design pattern library for typical GOOGLE based solution implementationsCreation of Merkle's new services capabilities, packaged solution offeringsAdvise on Google set up, security and role based access implementation, and network optimizationsAdvise on DevOps strategy and methodologyAssist in creation of customer facing pre-sales collateral such as demos, technical presentationsAssist in Merkle's achievement of Google competencies and specializations.
Key Skills and ExperienceHands-on Google professionalPossess thorough understanding of Google technical landscape, business drivers, and emerging computing trends in the industryGoogle Professional Solutions Architect certification (or similar) along with Google Specialty level certification(s) in Big Data or Data & Analytics spaceMinimum 10 years overall experience in systems integration field with strong hands-on experience in data integration, data warehousing, and analytical projectsIntimate familiarity with enterprise data modernization efforts, EDW migration to CloudProven track record of building technical and business relationships with senior executivesProven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow upProblem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, where and when needed, to do what's right for the customerExceptional verbal and written communicationAbility to connect technology with measurable business valueDemonstrated technical thought leadership in customer facing situationsSDL2017 Recommended Skills Sales Engineering Technical Sales Unified Communications Web Hosting Services Commercialization Direct Selling Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
