Marketing Manager

Job DescriptionThe Marketing Manager guides market research and analytics activities supporting business decisions and strategies for the ART joint venture.
The role is responsible for proactively managing the global hydroprocessing market analysis activities and includes data collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting of critical industry, regulatory, competitive and customer data supporting the $500M business.
This role requires strong analytical ability to identify data trends and link them to key business strategies and outputs.
As part of the Marketing team, the role will work collaboratively with Segment Marketing Managers, Sales, Technical Service, R&D, Process Technologies, Integrated Supply, Product Stewardship, Legal and Finance/Accounting.
This position reports to the ART Marketing Director located in Columbia, MD.
Preferred locations include Gulf Coast TX or LA or Richmond, CA or remote for highly qualified candidates.
Manage and monitor the global market analysis process, including assessment of customer, economic and regulatory drivers and threats to support marketing and sales strategiesCollect, analyze and maintain market data using a systematic approach to provide visibility to the Marketing and Sales organizationWork with Segment Marketing Managers and Regional General Managers to understand and analyze segment and region-specific market drivers and trends to identify areas of required focusCollaborate with R&D to ensure product development pipeline is linked with market needs as assessed during data analysisLead business strategic projects to reduce costs, optimize profitability and improve business processes and successAssess win/loss data for trends and communicate metrics for customer bids against with industry and competitor inputsImprove marketing analytics, including competitive analysis, to improve top line business growthConvert marketing opportunities to true sale opportunities that enhance the quality of earnings and help meet growth targetsRequired SkillsAbility to understand customer and market dynamics and impacts on business forecasts.
Understanding of marketing frameworks and ability to practically apply them (eg PEST, Porter's Five Forces, Value Chain, Market Attractiveness)Demonstrated connective thinking and ability to take high-level vision and translate into executable actionsStrong analytical skills and data modeling abilityStrong communication and interpersonal skills in leading and managing a multi-functional team comprised of members from different cultural backgrounds and from different parent companiesAbility to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-performance work environment.
Ability to report and present data and conclusions in a concise and effective mannerRequired Experience4-year University degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Chemical Engineering or related degree required.
MBA or Advanced Marketing degree a plus.
At least 5 years progressive business experience, including one year of experience in marketing, product line or segment management, product management or technical role.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
