Social Worker / Counselor / Mental Health Therapist Duties and Responsibilities This position is for someone who is able to see patients that are in the Outpatient Mental Health Health Clinic.
Perform clinical services, including intakes and therapeutic interventions such as group, individual, and family therapy, and crisis intervention.
Maintain and complete service documentation such as psycho-social assessments, case notes, treatment plans, court reports, letters, etc.
, according to prescribed standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including school personnel, family members, and other health agencies regarding organizational programs and client needs and conditions.
Attend and participate in staff meetings, treatment planning meetings, case conferences providing information relating to program administration and development.

As a Community Based Therapist, you will provide culturally competent mental health services to clients with mental illness and/or mental health needs in their homes and their community.

Mental Health Therapist Minimum Qualifications and Required SkillsMaryland Licensure Required as LGSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC.

)Basic knowledge of mental and physical characteristics of applicable population group (eg, growth and development and range of treatment needed), psychotherapy, human behavior, treatment modes, and related issues.
Basic knowledge of community resources and services.
Ability to handle a caseload with varying levels of client disability and need.
Reliable transportation for frequent travel.
Belief in the strength-based philosophy.
Knowledge of family of origin / intergenerational issues.
