6480 Freetown Road in Hickory Ridge Village Center Centre Park Drive in Columbia, MD Cradlerock Way, Columbia, MD IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR EXPERIENCED CERTIFIED RX TECHS!! We will consider you for hire in locations of your choice whenever possible.
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into computer system.
Accurately fill prescriptions, and route questionable prescriptions to Pharmacist.
Make calls and fax physicians for prescription clarifications, substitutions, and changes.
Call patients/customers by phone and provide customer service at counter.
Operate keyboard and computer to enter patient and prescription information.
Perform other Pharmacy functions as required.
Essential Skills MUST BE A MARYLAND BOARD CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (C PhT) Must be able to read/interpret prescription terminology and medications.
Excellent customer service skills, primarily over the phone.
Accurate and rapid keyboarding skills.
Have a general knowledge of commonly used generic drugs.
Must be willing to comply with all Giant Food policies, and meet/exceed standards.
