Providing troubleshooting assistance and support for systems/software both in the corporate office and in restaurant locations.
Working with various departments & immediate supervisor to maximize efficiency, determine IT-related needs, and/or provide insight on emerging technologies that could positively impact our brand strategy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Support for systems located in Restaurants and in the Corporate Office.
Maintain backup and troubleshoot the corporate infrastructure to ensure business continuity.
Infrastructure includes hosted email, Microsoft Office suite, on-premises servers, networking, printing, and storage solutions.
Creation of proper documentation for common issues.
Monitors recurring problems with locations/coworkers to identify where root-cause and permanent resolution.
Diagnose & resolve Tier 1 issues with Windows, POS hardware & software as expeditiously as possible to ensure continuation of restaurant operations.
Escalate all Tier2
issues to appropriate vendor and track resolution.
Exposure to the Oracle/Micros Simphony, RES, Toast, or Positouch systems are ideal.
Visit restaurant locations for on-site troubleshooting, hardware installation and/or vendor management as required.
Coordinate w/ 3rd party to complete installation of new hardware and software.
This may require field visits to locations.
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Work
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a combination of education and work experience in managing a growing organization's technological infrastructure and data management systems 1 - 3 years' experience in an IT-related field in the restaurant/retail industry
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to utilize these skills over various channels (in-person, phone, email, etc.
) in a support role.
Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities; prioritizes preventative care to avoid downtime and outages.
Possesses a level of technical understanding of supported systems commensurate with a Junior/Entry level position.
This includes Windows Server, Microsoft Office Suite, Networking, and at least one point of sale system along with several other supporting business systems.
Thirst for knowledge and staying up to date with the latest trends & technologies.
Experience in Hospitality/Restaurants preferred.
Ability to travel as needed up to 20% of the time for service calls or installations.
Ability to travel out of market/state with notice an additional 20% of the time.
