Small Animal Surgeon FT in Columbia
Position Title:
Small Animal Surgeon in Columbia, MD Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists (CVSS) Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists (CVSS) is seeking a full-time individual who is enthusiastic, team-orientated and has completed a small animal surgical residency program to join our Columbia team.
CVSS is a well established surgical practice in Maryland with 3 locations in Annapolis, Columbia and Towson.
Our team consists of 9 board certified small animal surgeons, two surgeons that will be taking boards in 2023, 3 residents and 3 surgical interns.
We are an ACVS Practice Partner and have a strong residency program with 100% pass rate for all residents that have completed the program.
Our practices are partnered with a variety of progressive specialty teams at each location under a collective title of Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center and include:
internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, emergency/critical care, neurology, ophthalmology, radiology, radiation oncology, rehabilitation and dentistry.
Our emergency clinics provide 24 hr emergency care overnight and on the weekends to all hospitalized patients.
We are committed to supporting a work-life balance for our staff.
Our facilities are state of the art with the completion of our Columbia location in 2016, completion of our 28,000 sq ft facility in Annapolis in 2018, and our new 46,000 sq ft facility underway in Towson for a move in date of February 2023.
Our practice features digital radiography, MRI, CT, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, Ligasure, TATE Elbow & THR.
Our practice caseload is 50% orthopedics, 45% soft tissue, and 5% neurologic.
Candidates must have successfully completed a small animal surgical residency and be prepared to apply to take the ACVS Phase II Exam in 2023/2024 if not already board certified.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide the highest level of patient care are expected.
