STRUCTURAL is the open-shop contracting business line of Structural Group.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to support our business needs.
This position will be based in our Columbia, MD or Deer Park, TX location.
As a Contracts Manager for STRUCTURAL, you will be accountable for supporting contract management needs for the STRUCTURAL business line.
The Contracts Manager will effectively manage multiple contract assignments simultaneously and will include reviewing, evaluating, modifying, and negotiating prime contracts and subcontract documents with external customers.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
Reviewing, analyzing and negotiating Company contracts to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, Company's guidelines for contract review, corporate policies and project requirements.
These contracts include, but are not limited to, construction contracts, purchase orders, service agreements and tiered subcontract agreements.
Identifying risks and issues with contract documents while assessing terms and conditions on all assigned contracts Drafting standard legal documents to include subcontracts, waivers, purchase orders, etc.
Participating in initiatives to establish, implement and improve department procedures.
Supportingall aspects of contract dispute resolution, including assisting with litigation management and other dispute resolution.
This includes, but is not limited to, responding to discovery requests, and maintaining claim documentation.
Maintaining a contracts database and monitoring agreement expiration dates.
Assisting Business Development and Estimating personnel with proposal preparation and reviewing bid documents.
Communicating and collaborating with internal and external customers.
Successful candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this position:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field of study; minor in paralegal studies or a paralegal certificate preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years' experience working in contract management to include drafting, revision and negotiation of construction contracts and subcontracts; some in-house legal or contracts management department experience desirable.
Prior experience working for a construction company in a similar role.
Contract and construction law experience with a working knowledge of contracting concepts.
Working understanding of commercial insurance common in the construction industry is preferred.
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
