Our Urology Group Affiliates consist of Chesapeake Urology, Arizona Urology- Phoenix & Scottsdale, Arizona Urology - Tucson, Colorado Urology & Tennessee Urology.
We are seeking either a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work on behalf of Chesapeake Urology at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center and in the clinic located in Columbia, MD.
This is a Monday-Friday position.
Advanced Practice Provider
Responsibilities:
Evaluates patient reviewing medical history and performing an appropriate physical exam in the in-patient and out-patient setting.
Interprets and evaluates patient data as authorized by a physician for the purpose of determining management and treatment of patients.
Consult with physician as appropriate.
Adjusts patient care plan by reviewing and monitoring treatments and therapy plans.
Administers or orders laboratory, radiological and diagnostic tests that will assist with the medical management; explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipates effects of treatments, and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
Performs daily rounds at privileged hospitals independently or with attending physicians.
Prescribes, recommends, and regulates appropriate pharmacologic medicine.
Documents appropriately and communicates with the appropriate physician in a timely manner as required, including, but not limited to:
evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, billing documentation, treatment notes, and other reports as requested.
Return and document on patient messages, results and order tests as necessary via phone calls Participate in patient visits via Telehealth forums as indicated QualificationsAdvanced Practice Provider Requirements:
Master's Degree in Health Care Science Certification required as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
Certification in Urological Procedures (ie:
cystoscopy) preferred.
Licensure as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
Valid NPI, DEA drug license and Maryland controlled substance license required.
Minimum of one-year experience as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
Urology or Surgical experience preferred but not essential.
Ability to type 40 words per minute.
Current ACLS, BLS and CPR certification required.
Recommended Skills Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Basic Life Support Billing Cpr Certified Nurse Practitioner Health Care Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
