Transitional Kindergarten Teacher
Job Type Full-time Description Columbia Academy is seeking a Transitional Kindergarten Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.
Our teachers have a passion to educate the next generation of learners.
They are role models to students and help develop their unique talents and instill a passion for learning and growing.
If this sounds like you, then you may be the right person to be our next Transitional Kindergarten Teacher! The ideal candidate should have experience educating elementary school students, utilizing differentiated instruction in an independent school environment, and experience using technology successfully in the education of students.
Our educators help foster each student's curiosity and growth to master the subjects they need to succeed.
With small class sizes, Columbia Academy teachers can provide more individualized instruction.
This is a full-time, 10-month position beginning August 2023.
Requirements Thorough understanding of pedagogy and best practices in education Strong supervisory, leadership, and classroom management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in stressful situations Proven ability to take initiative to better support student learning/growth Ability to lead or take part in enrichment classes, school committees, after-school activities, and/or summer camp courses is desired Apply online on our employment page for immediate consideration! com Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in education or related subject required 45 hours of Child Growth and Development or course equivalent 45 hours of Preschool Curriculum or course equivalent A minimum of two years of experience in a classroom setting is preferred MSDE Teaching Certificate preferred Maryland EXCELS credentialing Level 4-6 or willingness to pursue Other Qualifications Professional presentation US citizen or current work visa State of MD and FBI fingerprint-supported background clearance WE OFFER a Competitive Compensation package and benefits including:
