00/HourOverviewThe Senior Project Manager supports Company for end to end capital project implementation and project results that achieve business objectives, while complying with standard work practices as defined by the Project Management System.
The Senior Project Manager works with management, technology, maintenance, and operations to bring maximum value to the business through effective leadership of capital project planning and implementation process.
Translating business objectives into the capital project objectivesLeads and organizes the Project TeamManage a portfolio of projects totaling $20M-$50MEnsures all non-capital alternatives to meet the business objectives have been evaluated.
Is accountable for project successEstablishes effective communications within the Project Team to ensure alignment among business objectives, project objectives, and the basis of designLeads the development of the roles and responsibilities definitions for the project andensure each functional team member understands their role and deliverablesWorking with the Project Controls team, manages overall project expenditures andschedule to meet business expectationsClearly sets overall Project Team direction and expectationsIs accountable for total project cost and schedule?Provides primary interface between the plant and the Corporate Capital Project Leadership TeamDrives capital project work processes and practices as described in the GPM ManualEnsures basic data is timely and complete prior to initiating detailed designLeads all gatekeeping reviews and ensures all FEL deliverables are metPrepares all project-funding documentCoordinate with Procurement organization to ensure that procurement plans are developed and executed in compliance with Policies and applicable lawsEnsures commissioning and turnover plans are preparedEnsures operations and maintenance procedures are preparedCollaborates with Construction Leaders, to facilitate the overall process and address designissues that impede construction performanceAbility to work with and manage design teamsAbility to manage safe work environment and program which includes but not limited to job site safety analysis, rigging plans, environmental risk planningContingency planning expertise and knowledgeAbility to identify, assess and manage riskRequired ExperienceMinimum 10
years of experience in Project Management in Operations or Supply Chain Leadership roles in the chemical manufacturing and/or petrochemical industry.
Bachelor's Degree in chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering.

years of experience in project engineering and project management in the chemical manufacturing and/or petrochemical industry.
Demonstrated experience in managing capital projects in a mature stage gate process environment.
Demonstrated ability to execute all phases of capital project management (front end design, project funding authorization, detail design, construction, commissioning, start-up, and close out).
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Preferred QualificationsAbility to travel up to 50% of the time throughout the USPMP certification a plusProfessional Engineering license a plus Recommended Skills Business Planning Certified Project Management Professional Communication Construction Electrical Engineering Front End (Software Engineering) Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
