CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS DESIGN/PROJECT MANAGER Columbia, MD, USA Req #522 Thursday, October 26, 2023 This work is carried out at the supervisory level by a Civil Engineer or Landscape Architect under the general direction of the Division Director and Operations Manager of Capital Improvement Projects.
Work includes design, redlining, permitting, scheduling, and facilitating a wide variety of construction projects through the supervision of design firms, private contractors, and in-house personnel.
Design work will include but is not limited to stormwater facilities, pathway paving projects, playground layouts, play courts, and landscaping projects.
Construction management includes but is not limited to carpentry, concrete work, grading, paving, masonry, landscaping, etc.
The Columbia Association Open Space is a 3600-acre park system that includes 174 playgrounds, 275 pedestrian/vehicular bridges, and over 94 miles of pedestrian pathways.
The CIP Department employs between 15 and 35 employees, including a variety of skilled and semi- skilled workers.
This position will oversee related projects from design through construction.
Salary Range is $85,000 - $100,000 based on experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
