Technical Services Lead

Company Description CRISP Shared Services (CSS) serves as the designated Health Information Exchange (HIE) for Maryland and Washington, D.
C.
, with affiliates in West Virginia, Connecticut, Alaska, and Virginia.
CSS facilitates the electronic transfer of clinical information between disparate information systems in order to positively impact the healthcare system through improved patient care and outcomes, reduced costs, and data-driven understanding of regional public health concerns.
Job Summary The Technical Services Lead role will be responsible for leading a team of Analysts and managing all aspects of CSS's notification service.
This role requires significant attention to detail and consistency in operations.
In this role, the candidate will lead by example and assist the team in prioritizing work as well as establishing clear operating structure and processes.
In addition, the candidate will contribute to the future of CSS's notification service with direct involvement in the development of and migration to a new in-house notification service.
The candidate will be expected to work with the team to retire the legacy service with grace and ensure the onboarding to the new tool results in an improved experience for both staff and users.
Experience working with healthcare data, Azure, Databricks, and Python/pyspark preferred.
Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Technical Services Lead will be responsible for the following.
Other duties may be assigned as the role evolves.
Lead Analysts in the day-to-day operations of the legacy notification service, ensuring the system is healthy and functioning as expected.
Manage and prioritize the day-to-day workload of the Analysts, working with our Technical User Support team to deliver great customer service to our end users.
Work with other teams to compile and automate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly metrics that demonstrate system availability, functionality, and accuracy.
Organize existing technical and non-technical processes and build a documentation library to include processes for the new system.
Develop clear operational processes and procedures for the new notification system and play a key role in the phased migration to the new service.
Work with the DevOps, Engineering, and Insights teams to complete validations of new releases that interact with notification and provider relationship data.
Maintain system compliance with privacy and security requirements in accordance with CSS Policy.
Must be available during normal business hours and be able to provide support off-hours support in case of application emergencies.
Train and teach new members of the CSS staff when necessary.

Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with both a technical and non-technical audience.
A high-level understanding of healthcare data types, including HL7 specifications.
Experience leading a team and delivering great customer experiences across internal and external stakeholders.
Strong preference for those with experience working with large amounts of sensitive data.
Ability and willingness to collaborate with other teams on multi-team processes, projects, and issues.
Comfort analyzing large datasets to research/identify issues, reviewing trends, and examining data quality.
Analytical thinker with the ability to break down complex processes into logical steps for the use of reviewing or troubleshooting systems.
Ability to quickly understand and take ownership of business processes.
Experience and/or Education Requirements 1-3
years of experience using Microsoft Azure technologies.
1-3 years of experience in Databricks is preferred.
3
years of python experience preferred.
Familiarity with healthcare industry preferred.
2-5 years of operational management experience and/or experience working with large volumes of sensitive data.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, OR equivalent years of experience plus certifications.
