Columbia, MD General Job Position Overview eureka strategic consulting is a leading small business provider of multidisciplinary technical services and capabilities within the greater National Business Park area.
We are hiring a talented Technical Recruiter to join our team.
The Technical Recruiter role will be focused on working with the eureka team to identify, recruit, screen, and present top-notch candidates for technical positions across the areas of technical analysis, software engineering, analytics and tool development, data science and engineering.
Although not a requirement, familiarity with the Military will be viewed as beneficial to the candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities o Source, recruit, and pre-screen candidates for technical positions across all contracts.
o Identify appropriate candidates and assess their qualifications through review of their resumes, interviews, and other forms of communications.
o Assist hiring managers in defining and validating key position requirements (e.
g.
, defining education, experience, technical knowledge, competencies, and equivalency mapping).
o Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled, review job descriptions for vacancies.
o Connect qualified candidates with hiring managers.
o Draft recruitment advertisements:
post and/or place ads in the most effective digital and/or print media for open positions.
o Maintain contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
o Assist with the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for selected positions.
o Utilize the most effective methods, tools, sources and databases for recruiting and attracting candidates.
o Provide advice to hiring managers regarding salary negotiations with final candidates.
o Facilitate contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in the technical/industry community and marketplace.
o Attend job fairs and industry conferences; run company booth at job fairs.
o Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Required Skills o Bachelor's Degree OR Military experience OR associate degree and at least 3 years of professional experience OR 4 years of professional experience in a customer facing role.
o Experience working in a team environment and the ability to relate openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.
o Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems (ATS).
o Experience in sourcing candidates and utilizing social media tools as well as traditional job board recruiting methods, processes and platforms.
o Experience and knowledge with GovCon, DOD and Intel agencies.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
o Experience advertising networking events as appropriate.
o Thorough understanding of technology, technical roles and technical skills.
o Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
o Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
