Ideally candidates will match interests in painting, puzzles, playing video games, theatre, music and will support him in the Special Olympics.
He lives in his own 2-bedroom apartment, makes his meals, does his laundry and strives for independence!! Candidates should anticipate supporting someone in their own autonomy and assisting in areas where he would like to develop.

Help continue to develop independent living skills.
Set an example and be a friend! Keep him safe by understanding diabetes protocol and supporting him well, comfortable, and happy! While he's capable with all aspects of having insulin dependent diabetes, you need to be his guardrails.
Knowledge of diabetes is helpful but not required.
