We are currently in search of an experienced Addiction Counselor/Therapist for our Columbia, MD location. The Addiction Counselor/Therapist position at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health and all of its subsidiaries (Kolmac or the Company) is held by someone who is innovative and committed to learning and developing their counseling skill, working and collaborating with an innovative, inter-disciplinary team. This position requires someone who is invested in patient care and brings a solution-focused attitude and outlook.

  • Up to $5000 additional annual compensation for completion of licensure requirements

  • Start Date Immediately
  • 2nd Shift / M-F / 12:
    30PM - 8:
    30PM
  • Provides case management services which support a positive treatment outcome
  • Serves as therapist in IOP and continued care groups, as well as provide individual therapy as needed for SUD and/or mental health disorders
  • Organizes and makes educational presentations related to behavioral health and recovery
  • Develop patient-centered treatment plans based on results from the screening tools and bio psychosocial assessment
  • Collaborates with medical staff and treatment team as a whole
  • Consults with family members and referral sources in order to coordinate patient care
  • Ensures adequate case management services are identified and addressed
  • Responsible for maintaining electronic health records which include documentation of treatment activity and progress
  • Ensures that patient records are accurate, comprehensive and meets regulatory standards
  • Evening hours 12:
    30PM-8:
    30PM with flexibility of morning hours

Therapist I (Outpatient treatment)

  • Must hold one of the following types of licenses in the state in which services will be provided:
    1. LGADC:
      Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor
    2. LMSW:
      Licensed Master Social Worker
    3. LGSW:
      Licensed Graduate Social Worker
    4. LGPC:
      Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor
  • A minimum of three years supervised counseling experience
  • Strong administrative, verbal and written communication skills

Therapist II (Outpatient treatment)

  • Must hold one of the following types of licenses in the state in which services will be provided:
    1. LCPC:
      Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
    2. LCSW-C:
      Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Certified
    3. LICSW:
      Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
    4. LPC:
      Licensed Professional Counselor
    5. LSATP:
      Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner
    6. LCADC:
      Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor
  • A minimum of three years supervised counseling experience
  • Strong administrative, verbal and written communication skills
SUD Counselor
  • ADT:
    Alcohol and Drug Trainee
  • CAC-AD:
    Certified Associate Alcohol and Drug Counselor
  • CAC-I:
    Certified Addictions Counselor I
  • CAC-II:
    Certified Addictions Counselor II
  • CSAC:
    Certified Substance Abuse Counselor
  • CSC-AD:
    Supervised Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
If disclosed that the staff is in recovery from alcohol and drug dependency a minimum of five years continuous sobriety is required.
