Shift: 16 Hrs/pp 11pm - 7:30am Night shift w/every other wknd
Job Details: - High school diploma or equivalent is required
- 1-2 years of experience is preferred
- Customer service skills are required
Summary:
Operates telecommunications equipment in order to process incoming, outgoing, and internal telephone calls. Provides information, voice paging, beeper paging, and assistance to callers. Monitors alarms and initiates emergency procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma required. Excellent customer service skills required and the ability to multi-task. Prior hospital telephone console/switchboard and/or answering service experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Ability to demonstrate conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of database systems and/or medical terminology preferred. Ability to make decisions and function calmly during emergency situations required.
Requires basic keyboarding skills, knowledge of Microsoft Windows, with the ability to use the computer by following clear instructions and procedures for entering data. Knowledge of Meditech systems preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
