General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions has an immediate opening for a Forensics Specialist to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to work with commercial industries to provide network defense and forensics services solutions. Key Responsibilities
Forensics Specialists use standard computer forensics and evidence handling techniques to assess digital information and handle evidence. The Forensics Specialist will also conduct peer reviews of other examiners cases and serve as a mentor for less experienced examiners. The position requires the use of forensically sound procedures to identify network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators. Responsibilities include employing forensic tools and techniques to crack file and system passwords, detect steganography and recover deleted, fragmented and corrupted data from digital media of all types. Forensics Specialists will also be responsible for observing proper evidence custody and control procedures, documenting procedures and findings for courtroom presentation and preparing comprehensive written notes and reports. Qualified examiners are required to maintain current knowledge of industry standards and practices, and may need to testify as expert witnesses in federal and military court.
Candidates should demonstrate sophisticated technical expertise, strong communications skills and the ability to think critically.
Extensive travel will be required, up to 50%.
Forensics Specialists must have a bachelors degree in a specialized area, field or the equivalent, and zero to two years of related experience. Applicants with a masters degree also qualify.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
