Description:
The National Security Sector is seeking a TS/SCI Poly-cleared Senior Software Engineer to support a classified program in Columbia, Maryland. The qualified candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment with often-changing priorities and a demanding customer.
The Senior Software Engineer (SWE) will have team management experience and will act as a subject matter expert for software development, while mentoring and coaching fellow software engineers.
Primary Responsibilities
Code and test software based upon software specifications and designs, analyze and study complex system requirements, design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain software development, support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and use Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.
Ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, and fault tolerant.
Provide software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process, and will interface with the following groups: software development, testing, integration, deployment, and sustainment.
Develope applications software for the service layer of a large integrated system.
Position includes translation of requirements into software design, development of code, documentation, and software testing.
Modification of existing software, fixing software defects in existing code, and troubleshooting issues on production and test systems.
Automated JUnit software testing and manual regression & acceptance testing, design, documentation by wiki, test data acquisition and analysis, test results analysis, and reporting.
Attend scrum meetings each morning to report on progress, roadblocks, and what he or she expects to accomplish that day.


Qualifications:
BASIC
Qualifications: (list the must have requirements to be considered for hire)
Skills Required
Minimum three years with the Intelligence Community or SIGINT activity.
Experience with design and development in an Agile environment.
Bachelors degree and 10 years as a Software Engineer providing software development and requirements analysis, design, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS and GOTS tools, and unit testing on both new and legacy systems.
Experience in programming using top-down, event-driven, and object-oriented paradigms.
Experience using some of the following programming languages:
Adobe Flex(TM)
C#(TM), C++
Java(TM), Perl, PL/SQL
Python
Shell scripting
Experience on the following operating systems:
Linux /Red Hat /UNIX
Windows 2003 and 2008
