Leidos has a career opportunity for a Junior Software Engineer, with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance, to provide prototype development support in Columbia, MD.
JOB
Summary:
The Software Engineer will work on a team performing signals development and prototyping on emerging technologies. This team develops a wide range of prototypes with varying capabilities, complexity, and field deployment priorities. This effort supports the full spectrum of signals development in performing these requirements. The Software Engineer will be responsible primarily for developing applications software for small to highly complex computer systems or portions of large integrated systems.
Develop in J2EE, JMS, EJB, STRUTS, JSF, JSP, servlets, SWING, JDBC.
Work with application servers (Apache, Web Logic, etc).
Conduct thread pooling, RMI, SSL, JUnit, JLog, or DBI.
Parse with XML and JSON.
Develop with XML structure, XML parsers, SQL and/or Perl.
Program in Hadoop, Map Reduce, PIG, Accumulo, HBase, or Cloudbase.
Utilize web services with SOAP and REST.
Perform Java threading and thread pooling.
Carry out set encoding and software design, software architecture development.
Analyze requirements and process execution and evaluation.
Qualifications:
BASIC
Qualifications:
This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
HS and 5 years related experience.
Must have software development experience in Java, C, C+
or VHDL development.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree desired.
Experience in JDBC and XML parsing a plus.
Experience with writing cloud analytics (HADOOP, MapReduce, Accumulo/HBase/Cloudbase) in Pig or Java a plus.
Apache, Cloudera or similar cloud development certifications a plus.
