Summary:
The Network Threat Support Specialist - SME will serve as an analyst on a computer network operations (CNO) intelligence team, focused on the threat to networked weapons platforms and US and DoD information networks. This position will be focused on the in-depth analysis of computer and network intrusion incident data and in-depth technical analysis of network traffic with the goal of detecting malicious activity. The successful candidate will collaborate with analytical counterparts across the U.S. Intelligence Community and apply knowledge of threat environment, open-source tools, and current implementation of threat technologies in order to devise all-source analytic/collection strategies to pursue access and exploitation of targets of interest.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Determine the threat to U.S. networks of interest posed by adversarial systems, activities or operations.
Analyze, map, protect or discover vulnerabilities, intrusions and threats in computer network systems.
Perform network intrusion incident response and network attack characterization and reconstruction.
Perform technical analysis against target systems and networks, characterize target network capabilities and vulnerabilities, and support development of new techniques to exploit targets.
Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and network operations officials.
Develop and refine the daily operations of a growing DoD customer.

UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED. THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH SECURITY CLEARANCE.
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent formal military training with 12
years of related experience.
Work experience must include 6
years of Intelligence analysis experience within the DoD/IC.
Digital Network Intelligence analysis experience.
SIGINT analysis experience.
Work experience with the following: SNORT and WIRESHARK.
Work experience with ANCHORY, BLACKPEARL, PINWALE, TUNINGFORK and ARCSIGHT.
Work experience with Cisco Routers and Switches, UNIX, Linux and VMWare.
The following certifications are required: Certified Ethical Hacker, SANS: GIAC and CompTIA: Security+.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
An understanding of the Special Technical Operations and Special Access Program communities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required with the ability to present complex technology into layman terms.
Self- motivated, creative, willing to work as a member of a team, organized and able to manage individual schedule.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and non-standard hours when needed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
