JOB
Summary:
The Signals Characterization Specialist will support signals and network analysis activities within the customer's operations division. Analytic output will include recommendations on system configurations, capabilities deployments, and initiation of development efforts to process target signals.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have Network Analysis experience.
The selected candidate will support activities by using customer tools and databases to characterize and understand target networks, providing content for reports, and recommending decisions related to system operations.
Conduct research and evaluate technical and all-source intelligence with specific emphasis on network operations and tactics, techniques, and procedures.

UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED. THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH CLEARANCE.
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent formal military training with 9
years of related experience.
Experience performing target development and analysis dissemination (reporting.)
Must be able to demonstrate expertise and experience in analyzing raw data through multiple levels of the OSI (or circuit switched) model.
Experience in the analysis of modern telecommunications networks at the transport level.
Understanding of SDH and OTN transport.
Experience performing protocol analysis on modern digital networks.
Understanding of modern Ethernet technologies and protocols.
Experience with any of the following: TRAILMAPPER, DVT, Wireshark, or Packetswing.
Recent experience using one set of the following tools: BLACKPEARL, PINWALE, TKB/NKB, OCTAVE and/or UTT.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with the ability to present complex technology into layman terms.
Self-motivated, creative, willing to work as a member of a team, organized and able to manage individual schedule.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and non-standard hours when needed.
Advanced Communications Signals Analysis Course (452) or Professionalization program (such as SADP) is preferred.
