DUTIES:
Lead strategic planning and implementation of Microsoft System Center 2012 suite components associated with private cloud functionality. Support a multi-platform server environment including server and software installation, configuration, maintenance, configuration management, patch management, security compliance and troubleshooting.? Develop, document and maintain good operating practices and procedures associated with support and maintenance of server environments.? Utilize, configure and maintain system support tools Implement modifications to the server environment, including troubleshooting and replacement of faulty system hardware Diagnose and analyze system related issues and recommend appropriate solutions based on knowledge of the appropriate systems and system software. Conducts system security configuration and testing based on organizational guidance, policies and procedures. Provide senior level support and communicate periodically with users on systems status, including system changes, problems, enhancements and potential impacts. Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
4
years of experience as a Windows Server/Domain Administrator Current or recent Microsoft MCSE or MCIPT certification Experience with Windows 2008 and 2012 server support and troubleshooting techniques Solid understanding of Windows file systems and user rights Basic and advanced Active Directory administration/PowerShell Scripting Server administration experience in a Data Center Strong problem determination and resolution skills Strong Knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization technologies Experience with Linux operating system support and troubleshooting techniques Basic understanding of server back-up and restore processes Strong verbal and written communication skills to all levels of the organization Must be able to write procedures and technical content related to position responsibilities Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationships with both internal associates and external customers Must work effectively in a team environment, multi-team setting, as well as independently Must know how to provide a status on assigned deliverables (ie, estimate their work) Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
PREFERRED:
Basic skills operating and troubleshooting Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and 6 Basic Microsoft SQL Server installation and administration Basic understanding of LAN/WAN technologies Prior experience implementing Microsoft System Center component technologies
EDUCATION:
Qualified candidates must have graduated from an accredited four year college or university with a focus in Information Technology or related field. Substitution of relevant experience for required education will be considered.
TRAVEL:
Local Baltimore-Washington D.C. and Long Distance travel may occasionally be required.
