Description/Job Summary
The Software Developer contributes to the design, development, modification and maintenance of Berkshire's proprietary internal and commercial Windows and web-based software applications.
Responsibilities/Duties
Essential Position Duties and
Responsibilities:
1. Programs modules for new applications with appropriate documentation related to the module. Ensures modules completed are functionally stable and secure.
2. Assists with the maintenance of Berkshire's current applications through active participation in the appropriate service releases and updates.
3. Monitors the bug reporting application for reported issues and resolves the reported bugs as appropriate.
4. Participates in the design and maintenance processes for Berkshire's proprietary internal and commercial software applications and systems.
5. Creates and executes unit tests on produced work.
6. Participates in peer reviews of completed work items, reviewing work item for functionality, presentation, style, security, code structure and documentation.
7. Assists in the deployment of new and updated internal and commercial software applications.
8. Contributes to product documentation for Berkshire's commercial software applications as well as comments code, as appropriate.
Other Duties and
Responsibilities:
1. Assists the Product Support department by troubleshooting system issues, providing instruction on application usage and providing workarounds as necessary.
2. Answers internal questions regarding product development activities and software capabilities.
3. Develops and maintains industry and technology knowledge by participating in professional development activities. Applies acquired information to software products as appropriate.
4. Assists with special projects as needed.
Required Skills
1. Thorough knowledge of , including Visual , C#, Visual Basic .NET, and required.
2. Thorough knowledge of SQL required.
3. Thorough knowledge of jQuery, HTML, and XML required.
4. Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server.
5. Working knowledge of SQL Server, and IIS required.
6. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows platform and Microsoft Office required.
7. Must be detail and deadline oriented.
8. Strong organization and project management skills required.
9. Strong problem solving skills required.
10. Ability to work under limited supervision required.
11. Ability to communicate with discretion and tact required.
12. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, required.
Required Experience
1. 1 to 3 years of experience in software and/or web application design or development required.
2. Microsoft Developer certification preferred.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in a software or development related field of study required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
