Developer Advisor will provide Informatica-based ETL analysis and insight to Lights On related items; lead the lights on contracting team (including off-shore resources) by setting priorities and managing oversight of their work; convert business requirements to technical design documents and perform code/design review and code walkthroughs; lead Lights On planning and status meetings and facilitate process improvement; establish and define standards and procedures for Lights On team; provide direction and coordinate activities for development/Lights On and production; control teams specifying strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans; manage attendance and status during release meetings; represent EDWard Lights On in Enterprise Management calls; work with Unix Shell scripting; review project artifacts (DB object workbooks, Informatica migration forms) for environment setup; provide performance tuning, design mapping and design workflows using Informatica versions 8.0 and 9.1; and performance-tune Teradata database.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 5 years of ETL coding using Informatica/BTEQ. Experience must include: Teradata, including at least 2 years of performance tuning; Unix Shell scripting; onshore/offshore business model; full SDLC, including converting business requirements to technical design documents, testing, code/design reviews, and code walkthroughs; and performance tuning, design mapping and design workflows using Informatica versions 8.0 and 9.1.
