Position Description:
Novetta is seeking a Software Engineer to work on cutting edge Big Data projects. You will be part of a team of dedicated professionals solving our customers' most challenging problems. We are building a system for ingesting unstructured data, extracting entities from it and exposing it for discovery and analytics via a UI and API. The work involves building Java software to enable the system to ingest new data sources and to manipulate the data in new ways. We are regularly integrating with mission tools and supporting key requirements. Our tool is used by thousands of people every day.
Basic
Qualifications:
- At least two (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
- At least two (3) years of experience developing software using Java, Python, Perl, Bash programming languages.
- At least two (3) years of experience developing software for Windows (2000, 2003, XP, Vista), or UNIX/Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) operating systems.
- Demonstrated experience in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.
- Working knowledge of virtualization with VMware (vsphere)
- Demonstrated technical writing skills and shall have generated technical documents in support of a software development project.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with REST services, Subversion, Ant/Gradle and Eclipse
Security Clearance:
- Must have an active US Government TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly clearance
