Job Description

This role performs chemical analyses and scientific tests using both routine and special techniques in compliance with all safety standards.
This position will report to the Sr.
R&D Lab Supervisor.

  • Collects, analyzes and processes laboratory samples.
  • Records results of tests, organizes data, performs basic computations, and prepares reports and analyses using standard procedures and guidelines.
  • Installs, operates, maintains and repairs laboratory test equipment, apparatus, systems and supplies
  • Provides technical product support to customers.
    Provides a high level of product knowledge, assists in trouble shooting, start up, and proper application.
  • Maintain cost controls for specific maintenance project activities, including raw materials procurement for the lab.
  • Active participation in required local safety program, along with the ability to work safely and maintain a clean and orderly lab environment.
  • Responsible and held accountable for compliance with all Critical Life Safety Policies, Environmental, Health and Safety training, policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for all laboratory activities manages day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including, ordering raw materials, processing sample requests, manages all laboratory safety related activities, manages chemical inventory, performs regular laboratory clean-up and 5S activities.
  • Performs laboratory experiments, including autoclave operation and polymer analysis, records, data and observations in SharePoint.
  • Participates in group related safety activities.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb multiple levels of stairs and be physically capable of regularly lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.

Required Experience

  • High School degree minimum
  • At least 5 years related technical experience in a lab setting
