Job
Responsibilities:
Maintain and modify network infrastructure in order to support large scale data flow in a data center environment.
Provide technical oversight of a project solution, including requirement interpretation and allocation of requirements to technical components.
Support processes to implement requirements.
Responsible for ensuring that technical solutions leverage industry best practices, designing for security and excellence while minimizing the total cost of ownership.
Able to define internal and external customer IT infrastructure architecture needs and then provide solution options to meet those needs to include, capacity planning, systems configuration and tuning, monitoring, backups, hardware and software installations.
Identify possible problems and providing documented responses.
Technical requirements management Complex problem management research and issue resolution Assist with day-to-day complex system administration (Windows and Linux) tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training or work experience.
At least 7 years of experience.
System Admin type or network security / pen testing, Certifications ie CCNA, CCENT preferred.
Familiarity with Cisco routers/switches required.
Familiarity with work flow process in a standard help desk environment.
Ability to open and track incident reports or work orders as needed and utilize associated trouble ticket software.
Experience in secure satellite communications network operations environment such as the Trojan Network Operations Center or direct experience with a Trojan Satellite communications system.
Certification in security+.
