Director of IT Programs will be a key member of the Product Development team and will be the instrumental force behind MedCerts creation of a new catalog of IT programs.
While MedCerts is based in metro Detroit, Michigan A cents EUR this position is 100% remote.
The right candidate will have a unique opportunity to build a catalog that targets entry-level, intermediate, and advanced specialty certifications in cyber-security, Healthcare IT, networking, cloud computing, and other IT disciplines.
He/She will help design and define a plan to build a division at MedCerts that will rival the size, scope, and success that MedCerts has had in the allied health category.
The plan will include performing a needs analysis to determine the makeup of an expanded product/curriculum development team to produce and support each course.
He/She will be responsible for analyzing the market and employers current and future needs and creating a product roadmap to align with those needs.
MedCerts operates in various channels defined by how students are funded.
These channels include Workforce (WIOA), Military (MyCAA and Army COOL), traditional student self-pay, and through employer and academic partnerships.
Preference will be given to candidates who are knowledgeable about these channels, as this understanding will help guide roadmap decisions.
The Director will help determine the ideal learning and delivery modalities to support each new program, and thus should be familiar with the concepts of mentored learning, bootcamps, blended/hybrid, synchronous vs.
asynchronous, flipped classroom, live/online, etc.
Based on the unique needs of each course or program, the Director will source vendors for supportive courseware, software/labs, or exam preparation resources as needed.
He/She will create a plan to ensure each program is adequately supported, and adequately prepares graduates for both certification success, and career/job readiness.
The Director will be responsible for the overall maintenance and management of all existing MedCerts IT courses, and of new curriculum and eLearning content.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate subject matter expertise and high-level proficiency in Information Technology and will have strong foundational knowledge of the IT market job market.
Candidates should be knowledgeable in areas related to career and certification training, and preference will be given to those with experience in teaching, curriculum writing, instructional design, or other academic specialty disciplines.
The Director will be responsible for building a pool of resources to be used as instructors, curriculum developers, writers, and quality assurance specialists.
He/She may also be called upon to serve as talent for recorded video lectures, or otherwise contribute to the development and/or production of MedCerts courses.
General Duties And Responsibilities Contribute subject matter expertise towards efforts to create, maintain, and improve MedCerts IT courses and programs.
Continually research the market, and provide meaningful insights into employer expectations, employment trends, market demands, and job-readiness skills necessary for todays IT professional.
Research and evaluate new and emerging technologies, instructional design theories, and approaches and policies for potential application to instructional opportunities.
Maintain revision/release logs for each course to continually ensure market and certification alignment and that course elements are periodically brought up to current highest standard.
Evaluate the instructional effectiveness of programs, courses, and training products using new and existing standards.
Support content/subject matter experts in developing curriculum, including learning objectives, learning outcomes, course outlines and syllabi, and related materials.
Provide recommendations for interface design, sequencing of instruction, and online interactions to enhance the learning experience Work in partnership with marketing to ensure proper and effective promotion of programs.
Assist in the research, documentation, assembly, and submission of materials required to be submitted to obtain State programmatic approval.
Create internal training opportunities to ensure MedCerts Education Consultants and Student Support personnel can properly sell and support IT certification programs.
Create summary documentation that may be used to describe courses, programs, certification pathways, job roles and functions, and career opportunities for those in IT and other fields for which MedCerts prepares students for entry.
Through training events and recorded in-service, ensure that MedCerts team members understand our unique delivery model, and have a firm understanding of the MedCerts 12 Elements of eLearning.
Closely monitor course/program outcomes.
Based on results, create a roadmap for course/program improvement.
Become intimately familiar with all MedCerts content, curriculum, and programmatic details.
Required Qualifications Bachelors degree or higher in a related field Collaborative project management skills marked by self-motivation.
Familiarity with best practices in online and other modes of education.
Academic background and/or teaching experience is strongly preferred.
Currently hold one or more industry certification or credential.
Must have extremely strong communication skills, and comfortable with public speaking.
Must have a passion for learning and be committed to obtaining new certifications and credentials.
Detail-oriented, with an absolute commitment to quality assurance.
Must be able to work with others in a highly collaborative environment, where teamwork is essential to success.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure of deadlines.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
