AWS Administrator
Hybrid role Eliassen Group is partnered with a large consulting company to hire a AWS Admin tasked with implementing several tools with an AWS environment.
As an Admin you will work in the Amazon GovCloud and will support the AWS infrastructure for their Atlassian products, machine learning platform, and other cutting edge technology initiatives.
You will also lead security related initiatives with IAM, conduct database encryption, and configure CloudWatch to monitor apps/AWS infrastructure.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident.
COVID-19 vaccines are required for staff supporting federal programs that are operated within a government facility.

Responsibilities of the AWS Administrator:
Create and manage cloud compute, storage, and services in AWSDevelop automation for provisioning, decommissioning services, and security patchingUnderstand and contribute solutions, along with identifying opportunities to reduce existing data centerEstimate AWS costs and implement mechanisms for cost optimizationProactively stay current on new AWS offerings and servicesUnderstand and provide solutions with a hybrid IT approachMaintain technical documentation for support and disaster recovery needsMeet or exceed SLAs on resolving open help desk incidents or requestsRequirements of the AWS Administrator:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or ITAt least 8 years of overall experienceAt least 3 years of AWS Cloud experienceProgramming proficiency - Python, Ruby, Go, etc.
Strong technical understanding of networking, security, system administration, and automationHands-on experience implementing security controls and compliance requirementsKnowledge of networking concepts - DNS, TCP/IP, firewallsStrong interpersonal and collaboration skillsAWS SysOps Administrator certification preferredJob ID:
