Job DescriptionThe Sales Area Manager is responsible for delivering net new customer acquisition and maintaining/expanding existing accounts within assigned territory to deliver sales growth at target margins within the Materials Technology Business.
This position reports directly to the North America General Sales Manager, Engineered Materials and will work in Consumer, Food/Nutrition, Industrial, Personal Care, Plastics and other segments as they fit.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining and growing direct accounts and one or more resellers within the territoryProspecting / Lead Generation and converting new accounts within the territoryDevelop strategies focused on expanding client base within defined market segmentsMaintain close contact with assigned accounts by establishing strong relationships with key decision makersUtilize advanced offering knowledge and understanding of the customer's business to develop customized proposalsForecast revenue potential for each account / reseller and prioritize time accordinglyEngage cross-functional teams during the sales process, as necessary (ie Technical Service, Marketing, Product Management, Order fulfillment, & Others)Effectively collaborate with sales colleagues & leaders on large account coordinationRequired SkillsBusiness to Business (B2B) Value SellingStrong Networking and Relationship-building skills - internal and externalResults-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environmentProven ability to gain and maintain lasting customer relationshipsProven ability to understand and sell a technical product portfolioWell organized with strong customer orientationSelf-ConfidenceExcellent listening and teamwork skillsAble to work independently with little guidanceAble to travel within territory (domestic) - 50%+Prior experience with CRM systems / SalesForceA' (R) experience is preferredRequired ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited university7
